Unforgettable winter activities in Saalbach Hinterglemm
The Kids Winter Challenge is the snow-bedecked equivalent of the Kids Hiking Challenge. Experiencing winter activities together in Saalbach Hinterglemm, collecting points and using them to get popular badges – challenges combine play and fun with getting out into the fresh air and recognising the achievements of young and old alike. There are various hiking paths to master in the summer, while in the winter speedy tobogganing sessions and plenty of fun on the pistes is on the agenda too. Have fun exploring!
Kids Winter Challenge at a glance
The pass to collect points towards the Kids Winter Challenge is available at the local tourist office.
The following activities can be enjoyed:
1. Fun tobogganing: either on the Reiterkogel in Hinterglemm or at the Spielberghaus toboggan run in Saalbach. In Hinterglemm the check point is right at the cash point for the cable car station, in Saalbach ask the innkeepers in Spielberghaus!
2. Storming the summit of your choice: explore one of three mountain summits here. Choose between the Zwölferkogel, the Westgipfel and the Wildenkarkogel. A dreamy mountain panorama is included with all of them!
3. The Treetop Trail in Hinterglemm: if you have never strolled through the treetops, then we really do recommend this excursion destination too! Marvel at the glistening landscape from up high and take in the tranquil backdrop of the head of the valley as you hike – an unforgettable experience and not just for little explorers!
4. The Fairytale Forest in Hinterglemm: a place for telling stories! The most popular fairytales and legendary figures from the region's myths have been carefully carved out here, and line the hiking path through the forest. With floodlighting in the evening, there are all sorts of things to discover here.
5. Piste fun: gather up popular symbols at four different stations – the fun slopes and Snow Trails provide plenty of fun for all the family! From the Thurnerhof you can enjoy a wonderfully relaxing start to your day of skiing – we are happy to take you to the most popular starting points in the Skicircus. Depending on the snow conditions, after being out and out on the pistes you can ski right to the hotel doorstep!
